In August 2016 PRTA were awarded funding from the Princes Countryside Fund to expand and improve the scooter scheme. The pilot scheme has been operating in Pembrokeshire since December 2014 but with people enquiring from further afield it was felt the time was right to offer the scooters to those living in Ceredigion and North West Carmarthenshire too.
An application was made to the Princes Countryside Fund who liked the scheme so much they decided to back it for the next 2 years. This means that the scheme is now on a more secure footing and is able to take and deal with more enquiries from anyone interested in getting help to get to work. With the funding several new scooters will be introduced into the scheme over the coming months.
