How does this Dial-a-Ride work?
Telephone the booking line on 0845 686 0242 at least 48 hours before the day you wish to travel. If you have a last minute appointment please give us a call at the office and we will try and fit you in to the schedule.
Should we be busy or not available to answer your call please leave us a message on the answerphone with your name, day you would prefer to travel, where you would like to travel to, any appointment details relevant and a contact telephone number so we can call you back if needs be. The information given enables us to plan the schedule for the service.
VERY IMPORTANT – We will not phone you back unless there is a problem.
This service enables people who live in areas in and around Cardigan to access shops, leisure facilities, hospital, doctors, hair dressers, fitness and balance classes, etc. in the town of Cardigan.
Villages we currently call at include Llangoedmor, Llechryd, Aberporth, Penyparc, Parcllyn, St Dogmaels & Cilgerran. Give us a call if your village/area is not included in the list. Please note that as this is a huge area so we cover different areas on different days.
Mondays – Bwlchygroes, Boncath, Abercych, Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn, Bryngwyn, Beulah, Llangoedmor, Llechryd, St. Dogmaels.
Wednesday – Bus 1 – Cardigan, Llechryd, Llangoedmor, Bryngwyn, Beulah, Aberporth, Parcllyn, Penyparc.
Wednesday – Bus 2 – Bwlchygroes, Boncath, Abercych, Cardigan, St. Dogmaels, Cilgerran, Llechryd, Llangoedmor.
Friday – Bwlchygroes, Boncath, Newchapel, Abercych, Cardigan, St. Dogmaels, Cilgerran, Llechryd, Llangoedmor.
This service is for anyone who needs transport for any reason and is FREE with an All Wales Concessionary Bus Pass. If you don’t have a bus pass a fare will apply. Contact the office for details. You must present your bus pass each time you travel. Ticket machines are now installed on all our minibuses – if you do not present your bus pass then you will have to pay the fare.
Once you have booked your seat the driver will pick you up at the requested pick up point (usually home) and take you to the destination you have booked for. Your driver will discuss with you your needs for that trip and pick up times for your return journey.
The minibus is currently not wheelchair accessible so should you need to have accessiblity for a wheelchair – please get in touch. Our driver will be on hand to give passengers assistance when boarding or alighting the vehicle.
